Silly Sleeping Pose Olympics

The people Olympics are under way in London. But the drama of track & field, swimming, basketball, and race walking simply can’t compare to the the cat Silly Sleeping Pose Olympics. Some of these poses are way too difficult for even me!

I’ll practice for the SSPO later. Right now it’s time to play!

Having trouble thinking of a name for your new cat? Try the Cat Name Generator. Just enter the color, type, and sex of your cat and voila! A name! Even though I already have a name, I’ll try it. My new name is…Sadie. A nice name, but I think I’ll stick with Trixie!

Not For Cats

A Big Library

Mr. Blinn is a fan of the Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges. If you’re in the mood for something weird, try reading his short story The Library of Babel, about an infinitely big library. I wonder what it would be like to be a library cat in that library? I don’t think I’d like it – I might get lost trying to find my litter box.

Trixie’s Bookshelf: Totally Disgusting!

Mewkiss the kitten thinks his name is wimpy and disgusting. I agree. (And the dog on the cover is disgusting, too!) But Mewkiss has to be overcome his name and be brave to protect his owner from an even more disgusting family of rats. Look for this book by Bill Wallace in the chapter book section.
