Another Trixie Poem

Time for another poem about me!

Tall tail
Really cute
Intertaining
Xasperating (especially when I sneak outside)
Impetuous
Eyes of green (and a collar too)

Figaro!

Find out why we cats purr. One expert says it’s like opera singing for cats!

I like to purr. I even purr when I’m playing!

My Day

Here’s my to-do list each day:
Play
Disrupt staff meeting
Eat, eat, eat
Sleep
Lie in the sun
Watch birds
Lie on the newspaper or book you’re trying to read
Exercise on the stairs
And make new friends!

Bad Kitty

I’ve been a bad kitty and sneaking outside a lot lately. The library’s nice, with lots of good books and friendly people. But I want to climb a tree!

Let The Cat Out Of The Bag

Where did the phrase “let the cat out of the bag” come from? According to The Phrase Finder:

It “relates to the fraud of substituting a cat for a piglet at markets. If you let the cat out of the bag you disclosed the trick – and avoided buying a pig in a poke (bag). This form of trickery is long alluded to in the language and ‘pigs in a poke’ are recorded as early as 1530.”

Hey, there’s no piglet in this bag. And not even a cat. I want my money back!
